Is it time to let go?

Is it time to let go?

Wow – hard to believe this is the last newsletter for the year. And this is number 88 – so I’ve been writing these newsletters weekly for 1 ? year now. ??

So, I think it’s time to shake it up a little.

I want these newsletters to be of value to the readers – I want you to walk away with things you can action & things you can delve more into if you wish.?

I’ve just finished reading The Echo Chamber & also an article on Narcissists in the media & it got me worried – am I talking too much about myself & not giving you the value you deserve? Because I don’t want or need this to be about me. Although I do sometimes like sharing some of the great things in my life that I am grateful for. ???

So, I need your help, please.

What would you like to see more of or less of in these newsletters??

I’ll continue to curate the Better Business & Better Life articles along with the Find of the week & the Podcast of the week, but would you like to hear more about some of my client experiences? Or more about upcoming events? Am I missing things that you’d like to see more of? Are the newsletters too short, too long, or just right??

All feedback will be greatly appreciated as we put a lot of time into getting these newsletters ready & put out & we want you to get maximum value.?

Let me know directly by hitting reply to this email if it’s in your email inbox or send me an email to?[email protected], if you are reading this online.?

For this edition, I am signing off for the New Year by sharing a few of my favourite things as well as gratitude for what this year has given me.??

I saw this great image on LinkedIn about letting go of things as you enter the New Year, but sadly, I forgot to save it. The essence of it was to celebrate your successes, be grateful for what you have & don’t be afraid to let go of things that aren’t working. I tackle some of these questions in my Year in Review document, which is below.?

I know how I am going to improve & make a bigger impact for business owners & family businesses next year & I just wanted to take a few moments to share my successes & my gratitude:

Celebrating my successes this year:?

?? My various EOS clients have won business awards this year – congrats!?

?? All my clients that have predicted well & are on target for achieving their goals this financial year, despite a tough year – woohoo!?

BETTER BUSINESS: How can you make next year the best year yet??

No alt text provided for this image

I wrote this many years ago when I was coaching at The Icehouse. Each year I review it & as I work through the questions myself, I add or change some things. But this year, I had a look at it & I thought it was absolutely perfect.??

I’m aware that I have some things to work on & I’m gratefully letting go of some things too.?

This will take about an hour to complete & I suggest either loading it onto your remarkable or printing it out & taking it to a quiet place & just writing what comes to mind.??

It’s not all business-focused, but as entrepreneurs, there’s inevitably an overlap between our business & personal lives.?

Have fun!?

BETTER LIFE:?101 Romantic Ideas?

No alt text provided for this image

I am ultimately a romantic at heart, but sometimes when life or business gets busy, it can be hard.?

So, when I was looking for my year-in-review questions in my files & came across this, I had to share.?

Most of the ideas here are pretty simple & easy to execute (just my style ??). And all you have to do is pick a random number & give it a go.?

If you can ignore the sexism (as in all the ideas seem to be for men to romance women) & exchange she for them, then this could be a bit of fun for you & your partner ???

FIND OF THE WEEK: Make your water even more powerful.?

No alt text provided for this image

This year has not been kind to my health & neither have I. With all the upset of several deaths, including my Dad, plus the onset of menopause, although I have been good with exercise, my diet & drinking has gotten a little out of hand.?

And so, it’s time to be back to my health coach to get me back on track. One of the things I learned from her is that adding ginger, green tea & lemon to your water is good for you (& some turmeric if you like), especially if you have had a glass of wine or two.?

I always have a bottle of water by my bedside so that I can wake up to a big drink in the morning & I decided to try brewing a green tea, ginger lemon & turmeric mix for this purpose.??

I was doing it in a teapot & then thought wouldn’t it be great if I could just brew it in the bottle that I drink from? And so my online search began.?

I found these beautiful bottles from Fressko, ordered them & am loving them!?

The quality is obvious & although you can get cheaper versions (try this one for only $15). I do feel like the Fressko ones are going to last for a long time.?

They come in different sizes – 300ml – 500ml. I went for the larger 500ml ones to keep up my water intake.?

I bought mine from Fressko in Australia & got a 10% off welcome discount plus free shipping & with the current exchange rate, it still worked out better than buying locally, but if you just google it, you will find plenty of local distributors.?

Made by Fressko, Fressko Flask Tour is a double-walled glass water bottle with a sustainably sourced bamboo lid. Free from BPA and leak-proof, this 400ml bottle can be enjoyed with hot or cold beverages. The food-grade stainless steel infuser is great for brewing loose-leaf herbal teas, fresh fruits and herbs, or a smoothie on the go.?

PODCAST OF THE WEEK: The Zone – Finding the perfect work-life balance.

I was privileged to talk to Liam Forde on the zone podcast about finding the perfect work-life balance.?

For those of you who know me, you know I don’t subscribe to the traditional work-life balance concept – have a listen to this to see how I try to maintain the balance that works for me & share my tips to do this.?
