Time to Kick Some SaaS

I'll keep this short.

Two and a half years ago, when I ventured into the world of agency life, I did so with a clear end-goal in mind. When I first met Josh Miles, I told him that I was going to leave him in a couple years to be the Marketing Director for a SaaS startup. To that end, I needed to get a boatload of experience, and fast. I had already proven my digital prowess, blowing the roof off of the expectations set for me in previous content marketing and demand generation roles. I had learned trade shows, event marketing, and sales support as well as just about anyone I knew at my experience level. Now I needed to learn branding, design, and gain mass exposure to dozens of industries and dozens of different business problems.

After two years of agency life, I'm proud to say that I've accomplished my goal. So, what's next?

Last week, I accepted the role of Director of Inbound Marketing at Springbuk, a two year old SaaS company who is revolutionizing the HR and benefits space with their healthcare analytics software. I'd be lying if I said this decision was easy. I talked to dozens of incredible companies in town who are doing really great work, but the more due diligence I did into the current SaaS landscape, the more Springbuk stood out as my natural landing spot.

I could not be more excited about this opportunity. I haven't even started yet, but I'm already starting to dive into research and development for some big time marketing moves. Over the next few months, I'll be sharing some of my thoughts as I build out my department. Expect to hear plenty of ideas around agile marketing, revenue attribution, and scalable lead generation over the next year.
