Time is always a force to reckon with. It controls our day, our life, our work, and our leisure and above all, it’s never to be minimized or taken for granted. It goes too fast. It doesn’t offer a do-over. Once the moment passes, it’s history. We can reflect and learn from it. We can reflect and find meaning in it that helps us consider tomorrow and hopefully allow us to make good decisions. But make no mistake; TIME is one of the most precious commodities there is. It doesn’t stop for you. It doesn’t discriminate and it can be ruthless if not managed well. TIME commands us in so many ways.
We structure our day-to-day based on TIME. We organize our lives based on TIME.
We begin each day based on TME. TIME wakes us up and it typically tells us when to go to sleep. And everything in between is measured by TIME. What TIME do you need to be at work? What TIME is the train? Do I have enough TIME? What TIME is your doctor’s appointment? What TIME should you call your mom? What TIME does the movie begin? I need TIME to figure it out. It was a moment in TIME. At some point in TIME, it will happen. It can last a long TIME. How much TIME will it take?
At the end of everyday, we should stop, take a deep breath, process the day and recognize how lucky we are to live a lifetime and know that we didn’t take it for granted.
Today I Manage & Enjoy.
