Time to improve?
Sean Barkes
I help business leaders, senior managers and other aspirational individuals make higher quality decisions, with more clarity, by challenging their unconscious assumptions and thought processes.
Well, the fantastic Christmas/New Year holiday period is now well over, and now most of us have been ‘enjoying’ the current lockdown. Peace and quiet, time to enjoy things… But you’ll probably find it isn’t too different from the last few months: stuck at home, nowhere to go, no one to visit or to be visited by…
Hopefully, like quite a few people, you’ll use the time wisely. Lots of people have taken up a new skill – people have been spending their dough on baking ephemera, sales of which have gone up dramatically; DIY equipment sales have also gone through the roof. People have been speaking volumes about learning a new language. But most people have forgotten the one key element which might benefit from being ‘improved’ – you, yourself.
We can all benefit from taking stock of ourselves; the current situation may be beyond anyone’s direct control, and you may be suffering to a greater or lesser extent. But this is a perfect time to, metaphorically, ‘take five’; to consider how you do things – and why. To consider how your actions (or inactions) affect those around you: your family, friends, employees and colleagues, and – most importantly – yourself.
If you fit into this category of individual – and, at a rough guess, I’d calculate that the majority of the population does! – then take advantage of this enforced downtime. Start to redefine yourself; give your mental computer system an overhaul, and question how and why you do certain things.
That’s where Refinity can step in to help you. We help you take stock of things: analyse where you are, and where you need to be - and, more importantly, how you can get there. If you feel it would be worthwhile having a brief, no-cost, no-obligation chat about any of the concepts here and discuss how they could generate value for you and your business, contact Sean on [email protected] or call 01522 700600.
