Time to help our fellow humans

Time to help our fellow humans

One of my biggest issues with this world is seeing people on the streets without a home or food. When I’m going about my life and I see someone homeless it truly breaks my heart. I see people walk past them as if they don’t even exist and it really hits a nerve. People go through tough times all the time but us as humans should help each other through these testing times and come together. I see old school & collage friends of mine on Facebook who have made amazing careers for themselves and recently during the tragedies that happened in London and even as far as Puerto Rico come to the aid of people in need. People are not always on the streets because they are lazy or drug addicts or something like that, some and probably most find themselves in situations out of their control.

We are very lucky and fortunate that most of our parents worked their socks off to allow us to have a brighter future and did all the ground work for us. We are also fortunate to have people around us who love and support us in whatever we do. However, a lot of people are not so fortunate, so now it’s time to give back in a big way and do something for a cause we truly believe in.

Imagine this! You or your kids have a bad bit of luck and end up with nothing but the streets. You would think someone will come to your rescue but quickly you find out you are alone. Imagine that for 5 minutes and run it over in your head how you would feed your kids or yourself. Imagine how you would stay warm or keep your children warm. Imagine how you would stay clean or keep your children clean and be able to send them to school without the fear they will be picked on for being less fortunate. Scary thought right! Believe it or not there are hundreds of people with this problem and we need to help them just as we would expect someone to help us should we find ourselves in a similar situation.

What we both need is the help, generosity and support of all our friends & family to donate and help us reach our goal. We have 2 goals! 1 is to raise as much money as possible to help Shelter but to also raise awareness! I want all the people that read this to have it in their mind that the next time they see someone in need or homeless asking for food or money to give something to them. It could be a hot cup of tea, a sandwich, the loose change in your pocket or just a smile. Give them something to cling on to, give them hope, inspire them to get up and turn their lives around.

We thank everyone in advance for their donations and would love to see you all come and support this charity who are working hard to help people that need it.
