Time For A Good Story

As an author and illustrator and lover of children's books I LOVE a good story. To sit and read to children is a most wonderful and wonder-filled time for both children and adults. Picture books should be loaded with images that tell the story and also tell a hidden story in it's pages. When My book, "Peepsqueak" was published I had the joy of reading it to many children who discovered the little mouse hidden through out the book. When I spoke with the children I told them the mouse's name was Elliot. They loved knowing that secret. At one school I announced his name and to the delight of the students they all pointed to a young boy named Elliot!~ What fun that was! He was beaming.

My newest book is still in the works. "Bitty Bettie". Like most children, some more than others, she deals with her short-ness with a nice happy surprise ending!
