Time To Give Back
As many of you know, for the last 8 years I have participated in a Movember fundraiser, raising an incredible amount of money supporting many Men's health issues that we face every day. This year, I'll still be growing out my mo, however I am choosing to give back to a sport that has given to me and made a direct impact on my health and wellness.
Early in the summer of 2019 I decided to compete in my first sprint triathlon. With some encouragement from my amazing lululemon family, and some direct coaching from Matthew Shanks I was able to complete my first two triathlon races successfully. Through the training, I also decided to quit drinking, and put a much bigger focus on my overall health. Now over four months later, I haven't had a drink since, and have seen some amazing improvements in my physical health and most importantly my mental health. The act of exercise and the community behind the sport of triathlon has been a major piece of this life change. My end goal is to be the best example that I can for my kids, leading the path for them and their future.
My goal to give back is to raise a minimum of $2000 for the IRONMAN Foundation, as well as train for and race in the April 4, 2020 IRONMAN Oceanside event. If you can, I would love for your help in the form of a donation to my fundraiser. Together we can keep making an impact on the community, support a great cause, and hopefully a great friend. Please consider sharing my page with a friend as well, every little bit helps!
