Time for Game Of Thrones?

This is an example I often use in my blog posts and books, when talking about finding time to do something...
I often come across people who say they are "too busy". I then ask what they have been up to recently... and they tell me they have recently rewatched every episode of Game Of Thrones... sometimes twice!
We are all guilty of this at one point or another - and had similar conversations - substitute Game Of Thrones for your own favourite TV series (I've only ever actually watched a few episodes - I'm more a Doctor Who fan!) or activity.
I'm not saying don't watch Game Of Thrones. Far from it. However, you may enjoy your rewatch much more if you take your time - spread out the episodes more, rather then watching them all in one go and forgetting about everything else.
It's amazing how we don't have time for stuff, yet we have time for rewatching our favourite TV shows.
Make time to work on your projects, book ideas, writing your book, reading, or anything else you keep putting off.
If you have time for a marathon of your favourite boxset series - then you have time for what you claim you are "too busy" for!
(However, something else we can be guilty of - and I'm guilty of this myself - getting plenty of work done, etc. and not having time for watching my favourite TV shows - so it does work both ways!)
Sometimes other distractions can get in our way - e.g. browsing our phones or social media. We have all these things we want to do and achieve, check social media for a "few minutes" and then end up spending hours and not really getting anything done.

Watch one or two episodes a time rather then everything in one go. Do those things you don't have time for - whether its a walk along the beach, writing your book or trying that new idea.
No excuses or distractions. Perhaps save your favourite TV shows for the evening, when you can watch a few episodes, or save them for the weekend? As I mentioned at the start, you'll enjoy and appreciate them much more.
As with all things, its often the case of starting - do a little bit or make some form of start, and it will soon build up, and the rest will get easier.
As a sidenote, I'd also say connect with and talk to fans of your favourite TV shows online - joining Facebook groups or on Twitter - people who I started talking to because we where both Doctor Who fans have gone on to become clients and customers!
What tasks, ideas or projects are you putting off or don't have time for?
And how many episodes of Game Of Thrones (or your equivelant TV show/activity) have you watched recently? Or have you not had time to watch your favourite TV series?
Are there any other activities you would like to do if you had more time? Are you sure you really don't have time for these?
