Time to Flip a New Funnel
Nearly four years ago, #FlipMyFunnel was simply an idea on a whiteboard. It was a way to take Terminus to market at a time when adoption of account-based marketing was minimal and required a great deal of education to implement.
Within a few short months, it became a conference that would attract 300+ people and out trend Kim Kardashian on Twitter.
From there, the movement grew like wildfire and we were able to achieve:
- 9 industry conferences throughout the country in 3 years
- Growing the community 100% year over year in 2017 to 8,000+ today
- Doubling conference registrations from 400 in 2016 to 950 in 2018
- Increasing paid ticket sales by 444% from 2016 to 2018
- Creating the industry’s first ABM Slack Community to connect practitioners in real time
- Developing ABM University to provide an educational resource for how to implement ABM
But that wasn’t even the best part, the most magical part was watching people in the #FlipMyFunnel community apply these innovative approaches to achieve promotions and higher-level career moves.
As time went on, I became truly passionate about serving the humans of the #FlipMyFunnel community and truly having an impact on their careers, which ultimately spills over into their whole lives.
But there comes a time in every journey where it is time to take a different path and move into a new season of life. With that notion in mind, I have resigned my role as Director of #FlipMyFunnel at Terminus and am passing the torch to Sangram Vajre to carry the movement forward.
To those who have been engaged with the #FlipMyFunnel community, I wanted to stay thank you. It has been the honor of a lifetime to have the opportunity to serve you over the past few years. You all have taught me so much about both marketing and life that I will carry forward with me. I have enjoyed every moment of getting to know you all.
What’s Next?
When I started thinking about what I wanted in my next role, one thing was abundantly clear: it had involve to serving humans. The best way I could do that was to merge my technology marketing background with a firm that believes in serving humans in the best way possible.
With that notion in mind, I’m excited to share that I have accepted a role as Director of Marketing at eHire, a local technology staffing firm here in Atlanta. I'll be charged with leading all things marketing to help grow the business.
The role is an exciting opportunity to be innovative in how we market and do some really cool things that haven't traditionally been done in the industry. The team at eHire is incredible and are truly passionate about their craft. This role opened the door for me to both impact the humans of technology and also the local Atlanta community.
The average American spends 90,000 hours of their lives working and 87% have no passion for the work they do. I want to positively impact that latter statistic and there’s a very real opportunity to do that through my role at eHire.
Here’s to serving more humans!
