Time Is Fickle

Time is fickle.
You know what I mean.
You’re sitting at your job on the day before you start your vacation. It’s not an 8-hour day. It’s an 18-hour day.
And that 2 week Alaskan cruise? That took about 3 days.
Do you remember when your child was a baby? And now they’re headed off to college. Or maybe they’re putting their own baby into your arms.
How did that happen?
We all know time is actually a constant. It doesn’t go faster when we’re on vacation and slower when we’re working.
I’m coming up on a milestone birthday, and I’m wondering where the time has gone. I look back and I think Poof! the time has flown. But other times I look back and wonder how I’m not 20 years older because it’s gone so slow.
How much more time do I have? I have no idea. But I know it’ll go by with the same speed as the past years have gone by.
But maybe I’ve learned to enjoy this time a little more. Whether it crawls by or speeds past.
