Time to Evaluate your start to 2016

Most people view March as the time to celebrate St. Patrick's Day, Go on Spring Break or watch the college basketball tournament. For me, it is always a great time to take stock and evaluate where I am compared to my goals for the year. Are you on track? Are you even on the right train?
A successful year is filled with proper adjustments. In business, if you are not where you need to be nearly three months into the year, don't wait to make the proper changes. If the plan is flawed, why wait to change it. If an employee is not delivering, what can you do to help them meet your expectations? If the answer is nothing, then you should be honest with them and move forward.
I believe failure is not always defined by a poor plan, but rather by a lack of action. Everyday is an opportunity to grow your business or organization, but only if you take action.
If your business revolves around sales, are you ahead or behind? Why? If your numbers are up, focus on why and then try to expand on what's working. If your numbers are flat, down or off on your projections, focus on the why and then make changes. Having a rough start, like in sports, can be overcome. Refusing to make adjustments is not just bad business, but insubordination to your potential.
How are you using technology? If you are not using technology, what are you waiting for? Technology only helps you get more customers, communicate better and maximize your potential. You can no longer say "we can't afford it" when getting your own custom app from bfac.com only costs $3,100 per year ($258 per month).
