Time Doesn't Equal Seen

Becoming the go-to expert and getting paid opportunities has NOTHING to do with your "years of service" in your industry.

You might be surprised to learn that the most experienced and qualified people still struggle to be seen.

Now if you want to move yourself from the "best-kept secret" to getting seen and paid as an expert in what you do in months rather than years, start with this:

1. Find ONE thing the other Experts in your field are either not talking about, or not talking enough about.

2. Write up YOUR insight into that one thing. Don't dismiss or insult other experts. Simply showcase what your idea is, and why you believe your point of view carries weight.

3. Take that insight, and post it wherever these other experts are spending time and ... here's the kicker ... message them privately to ask if they'd offer their insight as well.

Your mind right now:

WHA??? Bob!

There's NO WAY I CAN DO THAT?

What if they hate it?

What if they reply and tell me they hate it??

What if everyone else in our industry then also comments that they hate it???

My reply to your mind:

What if they love it though?

What if they reply that they love it and offer more insight for you to learn from?

What if everyone else in your industry replies to share that they love it because they learned something new???

This fear of being seen isn't going to help you get paid as an expert.

And remember.

This fear you're feeling is programming.

Because someone in your past told you that you weren't good enough. Either directly or indirectly.

And the first step to feeling good enough is to lead conversations where you educate and even learn a little yourself.
