In these uncertain times ahead we need to adapt and embrace what life throws at us.
We need to change our mindset, re-programme our thinking and keep moving. Don't let change or uncertainty paralyse you.
Something I have had to get my head around with 2 little girls (5 & 7), is instead of worrying about work and the months ahead where I am going to have to home school and work from home, I have changed my mindset and now see it as a wonderful gift.
It's a chance to connect with my children and spend some real time getting to know them deeper, as we all know they grow up far too quickly. For me, it's a chance to teach them skills that many schools don't cover - happiness, self esteem, money, developing a positive mindset, motivation etc. I am adapting my hours and working a lot smarter to get my work done and as a result will most probably be more productive. This will also teach them the importance of working hard!
In all of this, please don't lose hope and know that we are all in this together, so help each other wherever we can. Don't be the one that lets the outside influences break them. Be unbreakable and keep focussed on your goals. The bright future is still in sight, we just need to re-route.
As the great Winston Churchill said "The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy."
Times like this is where we evolve and grow, and I for one am looking forward to the personal journey!
I have attached a link below to a great video by Bishop T.D. Jakes’ - ‘Learn From the Lows, How to Handle the Highs’. Definitely worth 25 minutes of your time!
