Time for Change: My Pivot & Apology to You

Time for Change: My Pivot & Apology to You

Hey,

Today, I want to share something that has been on my mind for a while. Over the past few months, I've done some deep reflection and made a decision – a decision to pivot my personal brand and the type of content that we share

Why this change, you ask? I realised I wasn’t adding enough value to you, my community, consistently. There were posts where I shared my personal experiences that did well, but many others that fell flat.

Moving into Q3 of this year, I wanted to challenge myself to see how much value I could add to your entrepreneurial journey ??

I am taking full responsibility for this, and I want to apologise for not adding as much value as I could have. To rectify this problem, I am personally going to review every piece of content and make sure that it’s adding value to your entrepreneurial journey.

And MOST IMPORTANTLY make sure that there is no #vanilla content that blends into everything else you’re reading. It’s only pistachio, mango and dark chocolate flavours from here.

This content will be focused around 3 key pillars as described by my favourite ice cream flavours above ??:

  1. ??Personal Performance: Removing procrastination and burnout, and giving you the right structure and routine to crush your business whilst also living a great lifestyle.
  2. ??Systems and Automations: We help clone you in your business using our Time Compression Toolbox and leveraging systems and AI to save you time.
  3. ??Lead Generation: We use the Client Attraction Blueprint and Linkedin AI strategies, to help tech entrepreneurs attract and convert highly-qualified leads consistently.

To start with I wanted to share what I’ve learnt about personal branding and organic outreach on Linkedin over the last 90 days…

Top 3 Strategies that Worked:

  1. Results in advance: Giving away high value for free and helping our clients achieve quick wins was incredibly effective. We shared the daily tracker we use to get 10 booked calls every week on LinkedIn - and the response was really impressive, turns out lead gen on Linkedin is something that a lot of people want to learn more about!
  2. Key Dates strategies: I shared key moments that defined my life and entrepreneurial journey. These posts, like my TED Talk in Chinese, resonated really well with people, what’s crazy about watching it back is that I genuinely have no idea what I’m saying ??
  3. Sharing genuinely fascinating content: Sharing posts from others that I found insightful and interesting, resonated with other entrepreneurs who found the content helpful. For example google moving maps into 3D … that is nuts!

On the flip side, there were strategies that fell flat:

  1. Short-form videos as “gems”: We tried creating short videos called E Lifestyle Gems to help people with common challenges. These didn’t resonate enough with users on LinkedIn. The videos that worked were those where I was sharing a tool on my screen and walking people through a process. We'll be focusing on that instead.
  2. Pitching: Pitching on LinkedIn didn't engage people. Even posts with testimonials didn't generate the response we were hoping for. I’ve noted this and am making sure the team doesn’t put that out there.
  3. Reminder of live events: We shared when we were going live on LinkedIn, which ended up diluting our brand, as people didn’t engage as expected. Moving forward, we'll include a reminder at the bottom of our posts instead.

What can you expect in the new direction?

  1. More Lives: I’m going to share the ins and outs of running a consulting business, the challenges I’ve faced and how we’ve overcome them.
  2. More Real Examples: I want to share more raw and real examples of what is working and what’s not in the hopes of providing more value to you. And yes I’ll be including some hilarious interactions with leads, that will crack you up as part of this.
  3. More Personal Involvement: I am going to take an active lead in my brand in the next 90 days, focusing on authenticity and relatability. ??

I'm excited to embark on this new journey and I'd love for you to be a part of it. Please do reply to this email with any suggestions or any specific topics you want me to cover.

Looking forward to our journey together,

Warmly

Ben Ivey
