A Time of Celebration

It’s Summer time! We kick off this summer article with a shout out to all of the educators out there. Congratulations on all of your accomplishments to make a positive impact on staff and students this past year! We encourage you to take a moment to pause and celebrate all of those wins from the 2023-24 school year.

Many of our colleagues and partners are leading training, teaching courses and welcoming new staff this summer. While the weeks ahead may seem full, we encourage you to make opportunities for restorative rest and launch into the upcoming school year ready to give the best of you, not what is left of you!

UDL Intensives

On July 30, 2024, the updated UDL Guidelines 3.0 will be officially released by CAST. This update supports educators in designing learning environments that honor and value every learner. Fully implementing the Guidelines will require broadening practitioner understanding.

The Lessoncast team excels in connecting concrete examples, practical strategies, and hands-on tools for understanding the UDL Guidelines. ?Lessoncast now offers an interactive, 1-day, in-person experience focused on understanding the UDL 3.0 update. Learn about our upcoming session on July 29 in Sacramento or bring a session directly to your school or district. In addition, educators can deepen their understanding by accessing the Understanding UDL Guidelines 3.0 mini-modules available on-demand.

Lessoncast is also excited to offer a content-area specific series: UDL and Secondary Math! Theories of curriculum and instruction can feel confusing and frustrating when they are too disconnected from the actual content of our specific courses. This workshop series is designed to span that gap by directly linking the principles of UDL to high school mathematics. Participants will leave with concrete strategies and resources, while also becoming a member of an ongoing community of support and reflection. Download this flyer for additional information.

We’ll help you plan effective UDL implementation for your context.

We're scheduling sessions and offerings now for the 2024 - 2025 school year. Contact us at [email protected] or click here to sign up for a free consultation.
