Time boxing in Agile refers to the practice of allocating fixed time periods, or time boxes, to specific activities or events within the Agile framework. It's a technique used to create a sense of urgency, focus, and rhythm within Agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban. Timeboxing helps teams manage work, enhance productivity, and maintain a sustainable pace by setting clear boundaries for various tasks or ceremonies.
In our Scrum setup, our team embarks on two-week sprints, each sprint tightly time-boxed for focused work. Daily 15-minute stand-ups keep us aligned, while sprint planning and review sessions, each a few hours long, mark sprint boundaries. With clear time limits and a goal-driven approach, we're sprinting towards consistent delivery and constant improvement.
