Programming for Girls in Grades 6-11
Our impact is expanding with the official launch of BIO Teens! So what's BIO Teens? Great question. Module based programming for girls in grades 6 - 11. Each module meets for five, two-hour sessions and each session features interactive lessons, mindfulness activities, group projects, hands-on-crafts, self-reflection and more!
Currently we're offering four modules: Confidence, Body Image, Mental Health and Relationships. AND the schedule for April is now live. You can check out our program offerings and register here.
Meet Aubrey!
From participant to mentor in Bismarck, ND, Aubrey isn't letting anything stand in her way and paving the path for inclusivity for others at BIO Girls. Check out her story below.
Newest Unsung Hero in Devils Lake, ND
Our BIO Girls mentors and site directors are some of the most special people in this world. The not only donate their time, but pour so much love, hope and kindness into our participants. They are truly making a difference in this world.
And this couldn't be more true about Antoinette Sailor who serves her time at our Devils Lake site. She was recently recognized with the Unsung Hero award which has been around the Lake Region for many years. They define an Unsung Hero as someone that goes above and beyond by volunteering and helping and whose spirit of giving is inspiring and contagious.
Antoinette has been volunteering for our mission for several years and had this to say about her experience.
“My involvement with BIO girls was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made!” says Antoinette. Each week she gets to see girls that are gaining confidence, talking, laughing and developing healthy friendships with other girls in the program. “Our youth today face many challenges and stressful situations; at BIO Girls we discuss ways to handle different situations as well as cope with things they are facing on a daily basis. Plus, we have lots of fun and laughs along the way!”
We can't thank Antoinette enough for her efforts! To read the full story and learn more about her additional volunteer work, click here.
