Time is almost up! NAB 2019

The clock is ticking down-  Monday at 10 AM,  NAB 2019 opens.   “every Story starts here”  is the theme-   and you want to start your story with a plan.   A Story Board as it were.  

I’ll use the terms left and right here,   which are valid when entering from the front of the venue-  with Paradise Road at your back

For The Post-ies here,  there’s the big 3 to see.   To put it Alphabetically,  Adobe, Avid and Black Magic.   There’s been buzz around all 3 vendors having new and different things to show this year-  so a visit to each is certainly warranted

You’ll Find Adobe in a few Post-Production related spots,  but their main stake at the show is in South Lower Hall,  SL5610.   That’s about half way back, on the left side, of the central aisle a few rows before the escalators

Avid can be found in their customary spot,  at the very front of South Upper,  just off the Front set of escalators at SU801.    They have a schedule of workflow demonstrations on their Main stage, which can be found here: https://www.avid.com/nab?promo_id=NAB2019 

Blackmagic Design is in South Lower,  in their usual spot as well-  SL216.   I try to avoid this booth early in the mornings,  or on Monday.   With their diverse amount of products,  there’s always a huge crowd first thing.

A very interesting addition to the show flow is found in South Upper.   Facebook has a booth on the balcony in front of the Upper entrance.   SU100 is opposite the front South hall escalators-   And not to be outdone,   Google is tucked inside South Upper,  at the very front, on the right-  Opposite side from Avid.     Amazon Web Services is a few doors down from the Avid Booth at SU2202-   they’ve had a show presence for a few years now.

The Traditional Biggies-

Sony has their normal spot at the back of Central hall on the left side.  Look for some interesting HDR details back here.  C11001 is the address

Panasonic is also back in their spot,  perched in Central hall on the left, just before the stairs that are in the middle of the hall.   C3607.   

Canon is kitty-korner from Panasonic,  at C4425, also their typical real estate.

In the North Hall-  You’ll find, tucked in back the new technology section-   Called. Sprockit,  StartUp Loft and Futures Park.   There’s always gems hidden back here for those who call tech home-  an hour spent here may change your life.   

A few other fun spots-  In between central and south hall, you’ll find the rows of Satellite and NewsGathering trucks.   You’ll also find the Beer Garden.   Whistles may be wetted here.

In the Silver parking lot out front,  you’ll also find a line of food trucks.   Usually shorter lines then the in-convention center eating establishments,  and there are usually tables here, hopefully keeping that mustard off your shirt.
