Local timber producer Southeastern Timber Products has announced their plans to expand their physical plant, adding a new sawmill, new kilns, storage facilities, and – best of all – forty new jobs! This is expected to more than double their processing capacity from about 120 million board feet/yr to 300 million.

They anticipate spending over $120 million on this project. Choctaw County is providing some of the money to help make this happen, and the State is offering them tax incentives, as well.
