Despite the looming threat of a TikTok ban in the US, TikTok spending in the US grew by 11% in March, including investment from Pepsi. Amazon, and Apple. Even with the platform now being banned on government issued devices in the US, Canada, UK, and Europe, and a potential complete ban on the cards in the US, there’s unlikely to be an immediate ban. TikTok recently rolled out affiliate commissions for creators in the UK, and is now testing the feature in the US. Creators can promote products from brands listed on TikTok Shop through videos, livestreams, and through a dedicated Showcase tab in their profiles. Fashion brand Reformation is hacking Instagram’s algorithm by having creators recreate their viral videos, but wearing Reformation clothes. The brand recently recreated a video by Michael Incognito, which initially received 2.6M views. The recreation including Michael wearing a Reformation shirt received nearly 1M views on the brand’s Instagram.?
