TikTok Launches New Shopping Ads

TikTok is making additional steps towards eCommerce integration on the platform and they have recently launched new Shopping ads which will give brands more ways of featuring their products on posts. The options are quite similar to Instagram now, but we'll see how they will continue to develop new ways of advertising products on the platform.

Here's what TikTok says about it: “Shopping Ads is a simpler, smarter, and more advanced ad solution that helps brands meet shoppers wherever they are in the purchase journey, sparking demand and boosting sales. It’s a three-in-one solution with new formats to adopt and combine: Video Shopping Ads, Catalog Listing Ads, and LIVE Shopping Ads.” (via?Social Media Today)

LinkedIn Tests New ‘Discover’ Feed, New Groups Elements in Order to Enhance Engagement

LinkedIn has made quite few changes to its feed and overall look of the platform itself and it looks like they're not done with it yet. They have just announced new updatesto help facilitate more discovery and engagement in the app, including a new ‘Discover’ feed, more contextual info on job listings and updates for groups.

First off, LinkedIn’s currently?testing a new ‘Discover’ feed, which, as is the trend of the moment in social media, aims to highlight algorithmically recommended content that you may be interested in, based on your in-app activity.

On another front, LinkedIn’s also adding a new ’Meet the team’ section on the details page in job listings, in order to help applicants get a better feel for who the team is, what they’re working towards, as well as links to their LinkedIn profiles, so candidates can get a better understanding of what they’re interested in, and passionate about. I love brands that are open to testing new platforms and marketing channels. E.L.F. Campaign of the week:?Pandora's High-Tech 3-D Billboard for Black Music Month

3-D billboards as they're often more commonly known, have become big news of late so it's no wonder streaming service?Pandora wanted to use the technique to help the brand celebrate June's Black Music Month in style. But how do you take something so "next level" to, well, the next level? Pandora boldly unveiled the MoCap-based anamorphic 3-D billboard as the centerpiece to its Black Music Month Times Square dance party takeover. The result was a full throttle celebration of iconic—and utterly authentic—African American dance styles, ranging from '80s classic b-boying to '90s hip-hop and early 2000s clubbing, culminating in a present day TikTok dance challenge, a real tribute to the essence of Black dance and Black Music Month.
