Don't Put All Of Your Eggs In TikTok's Basket...
TikTok is one of the best social?platforms to reach & engage huge audiences incredibly cost-effectively.
However, you may have seen that TikTok has recently been banned on UK government devices & the BBC has urged staff to delete TikTok from company mobiles.
Things are more serious in the US where yesterday?US lawmakers lined up to attack the TikTok CEO at a hearing (see live updates from the hearing).
I personally don't think TikTok will be banned in the UK any time soon, but my #1 piece of advice would be to ensure you are building audiences on multiple platforms & not just relying on TikTok.

- Can't quite believe I'm saying this but...we've just started working with the BBC Storyworks division of the BBC! Mad! See the announcement post here.

-?This week I went to an in-person event which was cool, then I went to London, met a friend for a Thai, then met a potential customer, then spent the whole evening being sick. I think I got food poisoning. But I just about managed to WFB (work from bed) yesterday. It was all worth it though, although meeting people in-person can be a ball-ache, it's a completely different experience when it comes to building strong relationships.

Although we've had lots of exciting & positive things happening recently in the business, we still face challenges every day.
There are constantly new fires that need putting out & new hurdles we need to overcome.
I know this sounds cheesy, but I just wanted to push you to keep going during these times.
From my experience, these are the times in our journey when we've made the most progress.
When we face new challenges & take them head-on, rather than rolling over and giving up.

1 年Years ago there were policies at work banning access to Facebook. They felt people weren't working hard enough and just online chatting etc... ffs... grow up...we live in a digital age. ??

1 年It might but it shouldn't be - what a joke. If it does, I'd be disappointed. I like doom scrolling there as I've deleted IG and I'm up to 10,000 followers, which gives me exactly ZERO business. BUT I want to keep it :)))

1 年Really highlights the fact we don't our following. Anyone monetising socials would benefit from driving audiences away from socials, into an email list or CRM. Offer value and you should have no problem moving true fans to another form of communication.
