Trump's order says he won't enforce the TikTok ban. Will that be enough for Apple and Google?

President Trump signed an executive order on Monday giving TikTok 75 more days to operate in the US without drawing the ire of the Justice Department.

Dan Whateley spoke with legal analysts who say Trump's order may not be enough to bring TikTok back to US app stores.

If enforced, the divest-or-ban law could impose hundreds of billions of dollars in fines on service providers that don't cut ties with TikTok and other ByteDance apps.

"If I were the GC of Alphabet or Apple, I don't think a letter would assuage my fears," said G.S. Hans, a clinical professor of law at Cornell Law School who last year joined an amicus brief opposing the divest-or-ban law.

Meta will pay some TikTok creators to post on Instagram and Facebook. Here are the details.

Meta has a new program that will pay TikTok creators who post on Instagram and Facebook.

Sydney Bradley wrote that the "Breakthrough Bonus" will pay eligible creators up to $5,000 within 90 days.

Meta will also ink "content deals" with TikTok creators "to help grow their communities on Instagram and Facebook,” a spokesperson told Business Insider.

I still wonder why 75 days, why not 90? whats with 75? with so much going on and all that panic creation one day before inauguration, everything seems planned. or maybe I am being too panroid here.
