TIGO UNE Titanium Data Centre now an UPTIME TIER 3 Certified Facility

Following extensive testing, it is with great satisfaction that I take note from the UPTIME Institute Facility Inspection Team that the TIGO UNE Colombia Titanium Data Centre is now an UPTIME TIER 3 Certified Facility. The Titanium Data Centre adds up to the latest Data Centre infrastructure of Millicom as we continue our DC transformation program undertaken 4 years ago when I joined the Global Team. I congratulate my team in TIGO UNE, Flex Enclosure, Furel and Ingenium for this new 266 Racks dedicated 2 MW Facility which is geared towards providing world class portfolio of services for our mobile and B2B customers.

A big thumbs up to this great team. Special mention to Giovanni, Luis and Adrian who are not in this picture but has been instrumental and supporting me all the time. They had a very successful inauguration ceremony earlier where the new DC was officially launched by the MIC and TIGO UNE CEO !

It has been a long journey undertaken and which has been possible with the support of the Millicom management. From Tanzania, Chad, Ghana going through Colombia, Paraguay, it has been challenging but very rewarding as these facilities were the first of its kind in these countries and greatly enhanced the image of TIGO into the B2B space.
