Trying to put into writing the life of a typical Loan Originator, pushing a loan through from conception to funding, is not an easy task. For some, it may be similar to walking a tightrope across the Grand Canyon in gale-force winds? Or like one of those dreams where you keep falling and falling and falling . . . and wake up in a cold sweat? Or sometimes like politics, where there is so much talk about what needs to get done but more times than not coming up short?
We can all come up with a good (and sometimes humorous) analogy but the sad reality is that perception is reality and there is a real borrower, Realtor and family on the receiving end of every transaction. Hard for the lender to “connect the dots” if there is not a clear mindset as to what the ultimate picture should be. I have been in this business longer than I care to admit and have a great deal of compassion and perspective for all of us and all of the above.
