Tiger Wisdom Profile: Sara Frandina '09, CT '11
?? Corinne Green Endres
Engagement Strategist / Relationship Builder / Jane of All Trades
Sara Frandina ’09, CT ’11 describes both her RIT experience and her career as anything but linear. As she shared the story of her creative paths, she assured: “I wouldn’t trade it for the world”
Entering as a freshman in the film and animation program in the College of Art and Design (at that time CIAS), Sara switched into the Saunders College of Business in marketing and advertising during her sophomore year. It was in her junior year that Sara made the decision to pursue her studies at RIT in the School of Individualized Study, which empowered her to build a degree program that included film, marketing and advertising, Italian, and public relations writing.
“My RIT experience broke any sort of mold I thought I had to fit into. [It] let me experiment with what would work best for me once it came to building my career. I’m so grateful for that.” After a few marketing roles for both corporate and non-profit organizations, Sara began her own business in October 2013. Since that time, Sara has served nearly 100 brands and businesses as a conversion copywriter.
Her #TigerWisdom for today’s RIT Tigers is a reflection of her experience in changing her path and her plan. “Remember that now doesn’t have to be your forever. With every opportunity you create and take, you can learn something that will inform your next best step.”
“This is your chance to create a new normal. It’s your leadership and ingenuity that will help our world become an even better place over the decades to come.”
