The Tiger

As the leaves fall and dance in the wind

Change is all encompassing 

Sensing something in the air

The tiger emerges from his lair

Stalking- such a fearless cat

King of his habitat

Distinct black stripes

Burnt oranges, whites and browns 

His beautiful coat 

Blending in perfectly with the background 

Ready to strike and take his killing bite

Like a precision arrow, he makes his strategic move

An unwitting gazelle wanders too close

Unaware of the threat it fears the most

With a quick pounce and almighty claw

The gazelle is soon to be - no more

Rewarded for his skill

The tiger wins his kill

A light diminished with one swift action

A chain reaction- For another to live on

Living this earthly song

Content with his feed

The tiger roams free

Surveying his territory 

Such a beautiful scene

Grasslands, lakes and trees

Nature in harmony 

Forever evolving 

As it's meant to be xx
