The Telecommunication Industry Foundation, TIF is excited to announce recent updates to our Board of Directors. Karmen Rajamani has been elected as TIF Secretary and newly appointed Kenneth Hill ?has been elected to the TIF board of Directors. The mission of TIF is to uplift the telecommunications industry by providing timely support and education to the public, lawmakers, and industry stakeholders through the promotion of quality, safety, efficiency, and workforce development.
Karmen Rajamani ?joined the TIF board at the end of 2023 and has been elected as the TIF Secretary. Karmen has over ?25 years of experience within the telecommunications industry and is currently the Vice President of Government Affairs for the Wireless Infrastructure Association, WIA and leads WIA’s state and local government efforts. ?Karmen’s applies her extensive knowledge to TIF and the content it produces by the TIF committees and the board to the industry and her experience with permitting, licensing, and site location leasing has been a value add to the TIF board.

Kenneth Hill has over 40 years experience within the utilities and telecommunications industry. As Director of Safety at Crown Castle, Ken is extremely focused on sharing the latest safe operating procedures through a bi-monthly safety briefing titled “The Safety Department Lifeline”. Additionally, Ken has been a supporter of TIF for many years and participated in the development of the TIF White Paper on Climbing Facilities, and contributed as an author on several other TIF publications. Ken is also a member of NATE: The Communications Infrastructure Contractors Association,? Safety and Education Committee and served on the NWSA (National Wireless Safety Alliance) Board of Governors and as the UTC (Utilities Technology Council) Utilisite Council Co-location Chairperson. Ken’s knowledge and dedication to safety and standards will be a valuable asset to TIF and our mission.
