“Awakening in front of the Paine massif, next to Sarmiento Lake, with wild guanacos and ?andus all around, this hotel is simply marvelous. Add in the excellent attitudes and professionalism of the entire staff, and what you have is a truly extraordinary experience. "This is one of the many positive comments of a traveler who stayed at the Tierra Patagonia Hotel and Spa, situated in the Chilean Patagonia.
The commitment of this luxurious and warm mountain accommodation completely wins over travelers who demand a combination of comfort, adventure and high-quality service, all in a natural environment in which this hotel blends in perfectly.
Imagine experiencing a dazzling sunrise in front of one of the most spectacular landscapes in South America, the Torres del Paine, after having enjoyed a perfect night's rest in the hotel's comfortable rooms.
Enjoy an amazing breakfast providing both the exotic flavors of South American cuisine and the calories needed for a day of adventure. All of this, while never losing a view of the spectacular surrounding landscapes, which begin to glimmer with the first rays of light.
Excursions are one of the most important attractions of the hotel, as its philosophy is to specially design adventure activities so that each guest can actively experience this fantastic natural environment on such outings. The objective is for guests to enjoy rustic nature for as long as they require, and then return to the hotel for total pampering. Back at the lodge, you can relax with the services of the luxurious spa, end the day dining, read on a comfortable sofa, admire the landscape and/or savor a glass of the best Chilean wines in the restaurant or in the hotel’s bar. Other attractions of Patagonia are its clear nights and starry skies, ones that you have probably rarely witnessed in your life.
This is just an example of a day at this hotel built in complete harmony with its surroundings, reflecting with total naturalness the majestic landscape that surrounds it. In fact, its architecture has been awarded for its harmony with the environment, taking advantage of its privileged location in the Torres del Paine National Park, declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 1978.
The interior of the hotel is consistent with this concept, but in no way does it sacrifice comfort and service. The wooden walls and large windows are complemented by rustic furniture, hand-finished materials and traditional elements inspired by the indigenous town of Tehuelche. Designed so that travelers can relax and feel, the hotel is a place where you can also interact with other guests if you wish.
What’s more, the "All Inclusive" packages cover your stay, all meals, drinks at the bar, guided excursions, use of the Uma Spa facilities and transfers to and from local airports.
Location:
The Tierra Patagonia Hotel & Spa is strategically perched atop a bluff overlooking the area where the South American pampa meets stunning Sarmiento Lake. In addition, the hotel is framed by the Paine Massif and surrounded by Torres del Paine National Park.
This location allows travelers to take advantage of all the possibilities offered by this fantastic natural environment… and these possibilities are many. You can walk to Lake Sarmiento — an elliptical lake with a coastline extending more than 78 kilometers — to explore its black-sand beach and admire the presence of unique geological formations. Or, you’re able to visit the forests of Calafate, with its endemic plant life. Several of the hotel’s excursions also allow guests up-close looks at Patagonian wildlife, including local ostriches, guanacos and area birds of all types. These are just some of the possibilities for exploration and discovery afforded by the location of this luxurious five-star hotel in Patagonia.
It is important to take into account that the seasons in the Southern Hemisphere are the opposite of those of the Northern Hemisphere, meaning that when it’s summer in the United States (for example), it’s winter in Patagonia (and vice versa). Each season has different advantages, but regardless of the month of the year you choose to travel to Patagonia, you should enjoy an exceptional experience. Summer temperatures (around December) are generally considered the best, though springtime is better for admiring the plant life, and both autumn and winter offer breathtaking landscapes at sunrise and sunset.
