Thumbtack.com Review- does it work?

Thumbtack.com Review- does it work?

Original Post here.

As a small business owner, I am always looking for new ways to find leads to gain new customers. As I was doing some SEO research recently, I came across www.thumbtack.com.

For the past several weeks, I have been sent leads on a regular basis directly to my phone and email. To respond to the leads, you must have Thumbtack "credits". A bundle of 50 credits cost roughly $50; 15% Less if you opt-in to the auto-reload option.

I am happy to report that today, I landed a great client through the service. After spending roughly $150 over the past 3 weeks, this client will bring in about $4,000.00 in gross revenue - possibly more with residual revenue opportunities. I am looking forward to see if this ROI holds up.

What has been your experience with Thumbtack? What other ways are you actively searching for leads? Leave your comments below, and thanks for stopping by Social J Marketing.

I just started using it a few months ago to see if I should recommend it to my public speaking students or not. So far, I haven't received anything back and I've sent out around 30 pitches. Any advice for improving the likelihood of a response? I noticed their event descriptions are often incomplete or too generic to craft a thoughtful pitch.
