Throwing Stones

I am sure you have heard the expression “don’t throw stones at people in glass houses?” I know the meaning is that you should not criticize people for their faults, since you probably have the same ones.
When you look at other people and the house they grew up in. You should not make certain assumptions about the kind of person they are.
Oftentimes, people are judged by the neighborhood they grew up in. I grew up in Newport Beach, but while the physical house was very nice, what happened inside was not. I spent a lot of time at my best friend’s house where unlike mine, there was a lot of love, happiness, and peace.
I got married and people thought we were the perfect couple. Nothing could be further from the truth.
When you look at someone, do not judge them by what you see on the outside. Get to know the person that resides on the inside. What lives inside their heart, mind and soul? Watch their actions and listen to their words.
I know wonderful people, some rich, some poor and people of different ethnicities. God created us all in his own image. That should be celebrated.
Look past the cover.
And don’t throw stones at people who live in glass houses.
