Throwback Thursday: Big Environments and Even Bigger Vehicles from Halo 4!

This is my in-depth 90 minute deck that I presented to the ACM SIGGRAPH of Vancouver BC with RJ Ranola and Kenny Magnusson a few years ago. It goes into details about how me and a team of amazing (and patient) environment, vehicle, lighting, skybox and FX artists all came together and made one of the biggest Halo maps and vehicles at the time. We had lots of fun, but we also had lots to learn... Enjoy!

Hey Carlo! It took about 24 weeks to get to the unpolished design everyone was happy with. Then 8 weeks to remodel and optimize. Plus 6 weeks to polish and light.

Hi Vic, thanks for sharing the document. I have one question out of extreme curiosity. From inspiration to final, how long did it take to fully design the UNSC Mammoth vehicle? Again thanks for the generous insight on production. - CB :)
