Throwback to the 80s
Sharing a Throwback to My Violin Performance Art in 80s
Do you remember a time when anything was possible? I sure do, and this picture takes me back to a time when I was creating magic in my massive studio, situated in a disused Saint James church in Knatchbull road, Camberwell. On the opposite side of the park was the Goldsmiths Art College where I frequently bumped into Damien Hirst and Patrick Caulfield.

During the challenging times of winter, I used to frequent the canteen there, as my studio was getting freezing cold. But those struggles added a surreal quality to my work overall. This picture reminds me that obstacles can be overcome when we follow our dreams with passion.
Here are some key takeaways from that time:
- Anything is possible if we dream with passion and follow through with consistent action. - Obstacles and challenges can add a surreal quality to our work and shape our creative vision. - Networking and connecting with fellow artists can inspire and cultivate our creativity. - Embracing challenges and finding solutions can lead to innovative outcomes.
The church conversion was done by SCP and then occupied as Black Roof House. As artists, we have the power to transform and reimagine the spaces around us.
