THROW OUT YOUR DIET BOOKS – I'VE LOST 25KG BY STOPPING DRINKING

In the build-up to the launch of my book “WALKING BACK TO HAPPINESS - THE SECRET TO ALCOHOL-FREE LIVING & WELL-BEING”, to be published in June 2022, I will be sharing transcripts offering insights into the life changing experiences I encountered on my first year of going alcohol-free.

Since I stopped drinking 17 months ago I have lost over 25kgs in weight – that’s 4 stone in old money - just by cutting out ALL alcohol and the snacks that went with that habit.

I have not restricted what I eat or stopped eating types of food because I HAD to or NEEDED to. Any changes I have made I have done because I WANTED to and that is the magical difference.

Being alcohol-free made me more aware that I had to up my game physically and exercise more. I started to become more aware of what I was eating, driven by the fact that I had stopped drinking and by the well-being doors that were opening up every day for me. I just wanted to be healthier; it was becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy.

I used to eat lots of crisps, biscuits, chocolate bars. But now I don’t. The reason being I don’t want to. Just like I don’t want to jump out of an upstairs window. I have no desire to.

Being AF means no hangovers, and no hangovers mean no cravings for fried food and all the other junk I would eat to try and feel normal again. It also means a decimation of the amount of salty snacks I threw down my neck. Yes, I still love the odd salted peanut but on nothing like the scale I used to.

The main thing about being alcohol-free is that you start to question everything about your well-being – how much you exercise; what you eat; what you drink; how much you sleep – YOUR MINDSET CHANGES.

That’s it – throw out the diet books! All you need to do is stop drinking alcohol and the rest will take care of itself.

That’s what happened to me. It could happen to you.
