Throughline's Jim Nuttle & His Graphic Capture of an America's New Map Speech

Jim Nuttle is one of the foundational executives at Throughline Inc. His graphic recordings of meetings, presentations, etc. were one of the big lures for me in joining the company and taking on their vision for generating an accessible, illustrated, and data-visualized manuscript on geopolitics this century - America's New Map. It was a real joy to work with Jim and his equally talented daughter Sara in conceptualizing, generating, and finalizing the 52 illustrations that accompany the book's 52 segments. It was amazing to jointly envision something and then see how Jim and Sara turned it into an illustration. As a political scientist who grew up on political cartoons, I was like a kid in a candy shop!

The image above is what Jim typically generates when he accompanies me to one of my talks. It's an add-on to the speaking engagement, but one that never fails to delight the customer (here, my old firm and a global leader in autonomous decision science, Enterra Solutions).
