Through learning, we expand our world

Let me begin with a couple of my favorite quotes. The first is by Mahatma Gandhi who said “Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever. "The second one is from BB King the American musician "The beautiful thing about learning is that no one can take it away from you. ‘Come September’ and it's time to consolidate the learnings of the months gone by to prepare for the holiday season and wait in anticipation for the rewards. For Sukino, every month is exciting and full of rewards as we continue to focus on learning and growing for professional development and providing the best possible care to people. September was full of exciting initiatives, educational events, heartfelt celebrations, and tremendous learning. From the fruitful launch of the Sukino Academy to celebrating cultural festivals, here’s a quick peek at September’s achievements and moments of joy.

Learning is constant

We at Sukino are committed to enhancing patient outcomes through dedicated education and collaboration initiatives.

We started the month on a high note with the launch of the Sukino Academy in Bengaluru on the 2nd of September. This we consider a groundbreaking initiative specifically designed and focused on delivering top-notch training to healthcare professionals and patient care services. Located in the heart of the bustling city, the academy aims to equip and empower aspiring healthcare professionals with the expertise, skills, and knowledge to excel in their careers. Our state-of-the-art curriculum is aimed at giving hands-on training that develops critical thinking and focuses on compassionate patient care, carving a niche in the ever-evolving healthcare ecosystem.

A few days later on the 5th of September, taking the process of learning further, we collaborated with Apollo Hospitals Bannerghatta Road and hosted a Continuous Medical Education (CME) session on Valvular Heart Disease featuring Dr. Girish B Navasundi and Dr. Sathyaki Nambala. The session highlighted advanced treatment options such as TAVR/TAVI, TMVR, and robotic surgeries, providing a comprehensive overview of the latest innovations in cardiac care.

And then it was World Physiotherapy Day on the 10th of September and we learned more. We were honored to have Dr. LD Satyanarayana, a distinguished neurosurgeon as our guest speaker and Dr. Soni. S, Associate Professor at MS Ramaiah College of Physiotherapy, as our special guest. Together they shared insights on the significant role of physiotherapy in holistic healthcare and helped us all learn how to facilitate optimal recovery faster and effectively.

Additionally, to commemorate the day, we honored the star performers from the physiotherapy team across our centers.

On September 14th, our very own Dr. Geetanjali addressed a gathering arranged by Vayah Vikas, a nongovernmental organization dedicated to elderly care. During this session, the doctor talked about the role of physiotherapy in enhancing movement and life quality among the elderly, and the audience responded very enthusiastically to her presentation.

This participation reinforced Sukino’s focus on elderly care and our ongoing activities to encourage healthy active aging.

In learning, we find endless reasons for celebration

All our centers came alive with the joy and vibrancy of Onam. There were Pookalam competitions. Cultural performances and the grand Onam Sadiya feast instantly brought joy and excitement on the faces of the residents and the staff. The celebration was a perfect representation of unity, traditions, and the spirit of community and has been etched in our memories forever.

Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated with great joy at Sukino Healthcare. Our Bangalore and Kochi centers hosted vibrant celebrations, which included the traditional installation of Lord Ganesha’s idol, prayers, and a cultural program that united our staff, patients, and caregivers in the spirit of devotion.

The celebration was a reminder of Sukino’s holistic approach to healing, where spiritual well-being is valued alongside physical health.

Empowering through continuous learning

We are also proud to acknowledge the efforts of our team members who completed their work anniversaries this month. Their commitment is instrumental in driving Sukino’s success and providing compassionate care to our patients. We have learned tremendously from their exemplary work and passionate attitude.

That more or less sums up our learning. But as always I am not going to benefit from it alone. Our doors are open for you to come and visit us and understand why optimal recovery is priceless for a person with a chronic illness, trauma, or injury. All you have to do is call us on +91 7676 299 000 or email at [email protected] and we will be very glad to help you. And for the ones who wish to continue learning from home, here is something that I feel is most crucial in the present times. Good sleep and why you mustn’t compromise on it. Do give it a read and let me know your thoughts. I’ll be waiting to learn from you.
