Two stand out numbers from the recent Thriving at work report need urgent attention from the business community.
"around 15% of people at work have symptoms of an existing mental health condition."
and even more shocking
"300,000 people with a long-term mental health problem lose their jobs each year,"
As employers we're not in control all elements of an employee’s life, controlling what happens out of the workplace, for example. But there are a number of things we can (must) change or introduce that will have a positive influence on employees’ mental health.

7 年Solid stuff Jonathan. The table topic at our #IoDSurrey 859 Director Briefing this morning was 'Managing #MentalHealth @ Work. Whilst I set the topic almost 3 weeks ago, it was fortuitous timing that the Stevenson / Farmer review of mental health and employers was published on Thursday.
