Recently, the need to do more with less has become a familiar challenge for many organizations and my clients. Whether it's due to budget constraints, resource limitations, or shifting priorities, finding ways to move forward despite these obstacles is essential for continued success and morale. So, how can we rise to the occasion and thrive in times of constraint and change? Let's explore some strategies:

  1. Improve Messaging Capability: Effective communication is key, especially when resources are limited. Focus on being succinct and staying on track with messaging. Anticipate and prepare for potential "left field" questions ahead of report outs, and consider tailoring your messaging to different audience members based on their needs and preferences.
  2. Thinking Strategically: Balancing the need to dive into the details with thinking and delivering more med/long-term goals is crucial. Find ways to think bigger than your current space and find connections without losing sight of your immediate priorities. Challenge yourself to simplify processes and create bandwidth for tackling bigger challenges.
  3. Creating Bandwidth: To do more with less, consider strategies for creating bandwidth within your team. Focus on enablement and effective delegation, identifying and addressing resourcing and skills gaps, and developing templates and processes to streamline workflows. By thinking differently about bandwidth and resource allocation, you can set your team up for success.
  4. Changing Mindset on Big Challenges: Adopting a growth mindset is essential when facing big challenges and navigating change. Embrace the opportunity to innovate and find creative solutions, and empower your team to do the same. Help boost energy levels by fostering a culture of support and recognition, and provide clear direction on priorities and goals.
