Three years and counting...
Tuesday marked three years along on our small business ownership journey. It goes without saying our current reality is not what we expected it to be! However, we took a moment to acknowledge the milestone, reflect on where we have come from, and what might lay ahead.
The alarm went off at 6 am, we packed a small backpack with a bottle of bubbles, a waterproof picnic mat, and one very wonky cake. Donning raincoats we headed up Mt Eden to catch the sunrise.
The last three years have been the most intense, all consuming and rewarding time of our lives. Everyday we were running.
Some days all your wished for was time to yourself and the phone to stop ringing!
Funny how now we would give anything to have it all back.
So for now we wait, do our best keep the faith, and we plan for our comeback. We've marked the 5th of May 2021 on the calendar, we've got a date with a bottle of bubbles, cake and Mt Eden.

4 年Hey Jess and Alex - so sad with everything that is happening to all businesses . You guys are such smart, driven and positive people that you will re-ignite Alpha when the time comes, or generate a new business. Just don't make it anything to do with baking!!
