Three Trends from the Trenches
Here are three notable trends we've experienced as we initiate and execute integrated campaigns for both large, global firms and pre-revenue to early stage start-ups:
1) Flight to safety. Despite growth across markets clients are taking fewer risks and testing less.
2) Analytics, shamalytics. Still a lot of lip service being paid to the idea of data-based marketing, but very firms have the people, skill-sets or willingness to embrace the data.
3) Desperately seeking snoozin'. Senior client-side marketers are doing the jobs of three people and working crazy hours. They're expected to manage creative resources internally and externally, understand and manage the technology "stack" and stay on top of new social media platforms among other responsibilities.
