The Ritz Carlton - A company where I have worked for my initial 8 years at Doha and Grand Cayman Cayman Islands
There are lots of things I picked up working there however I want to highlight the three things that I still apply at my leadership role.
First - Empowerment and Trust towards employees- You must have heard that The Ritz Carlton employees are empowered to use 2000 US Dollars to make the guest happy - No question asked ?
Let me tell you its not about 2000 US dollars . Do people spend 2000 USD everyday . No . But the message is that the Ritz Carlton empowers its employees ( Which they call Ladies and Gentlemen) to make sure that every guest who stays with them becomes guest for life and the company trusts its employees to do so .
Second Culture of guests obsession- The blood is blue - we used to say at Ritz Carlton Grand Cayman . We move heaven and earth for guests Anticipation . Its the customer centric culture and obsessions which keeps the company moving forward and growing .
Third - The importance of Training - Do you know we used to have daily Line up where wow stories from all the Ritz Carlton around the world was shared . There were lot of encouragement and learnings happen at those line ups . No shifts starts without Line up .
I honestly think these points are super valuable and I was fortunate enough to learn those things very early in my career and You could too use these learnings at your level.
