Three Things I Learned From Michael Strahan

Three Things I Learned From Michael Strahan

In this episode of "The Deal," my latest podcast on Bloomberg, I had the pleasure of sitting down with entrepreneur, two-time Emmy Award Winner, and Super Bowl Champion, Michael Strahan. It was incredible to delve into Michael’s perspectives and experiences within the business world, discovering the valuable insights he has gained and carried over from his significant sports career. For the full conversation and to explore the latest episodes, head to www.bloomberg.com/the-deal or tune in wherever you enjoy your podcasts.

“Hustle Like You’re Broke”

Michael advises not to take what you have for granted. He emphasizes the importance of hustling as if you have nothing, regardless of your wealth or professional status. Work diligently even when no one is watching and, especially, when the future seems uncertain. In the face of setbacks, Michael encourages resilience—get back up, try again, explore new avenues, and keep pushing forward. His words serve as a testament to the enduring power of perseverance and tenacity.

“There Is No Shortcut to Success”?

Michael explains that there is no quick or easy route to success. He emphasizes the importance of getting up every day and giving your all, even when you don't want to. In our conversation, Michael also highlights that the key to success is not hard work alone; building meaningful relationships, treating others with kindness and respect, as well as making people feel important and valuable are all keys to success that cannot be overlooked, regardless of your position. It was powerful to listen to the many steps Michael has taken and continues to take to achieve success in his personal and professional career, both on and off the television screen.

“Never Stop Learning”

It is no secret that Michael wears a lot of hats. During our time together, Michael explained that he is always a student within his own life. Whether gaining insights from his GMA team—sharing the wisdom acquired from Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos—or drawing inspiration from his FOX Sports family, where he notes important lessons from Jay Glazer, Michael consistently observes and learns. He absorbs the experiences of others, mentally taking valuable notes to apply them to his own life.

Throughout our conversation, Michael's thoughts and advice inspired me.?He reminds us all that success is the result of diligence, resilience, and continuous learning. His mantra, “hustle like you're broke" and emphasis on the absence of shortcuts to success serve as powerful reminders for aspiring individuals in any field. Michael's commitment to building meaningful relationships exemplifies the holistic approach he takes towards personal and professional growth.?For the full conversation and access to the latest episodes, be sure to visit www.bloomberg.com/the-dealand or tune in wherever you enjoy your podcasts.

Hi, I have a new established company that is looking for partners to start construction and so on, with financial projections that may be of great interest to you. It's in the food industry and we're based in Kentucky. I invite you to listen to me and join. This company's billings are secure. With over $2 million a year and an operating expense of $1.5 million a year, there is the return, I need initial capital of $7 million overall to get the company up and running and I am open to new partners.

Learned a ton from this conversation, thank you for sharing! There are so many fascinating parallels, and notable differences, between the paths that ultimately placed you and Michael Strahan on the pedestals you each stand firmly on today...Favorite takeaways: 1. come from world of team, never use I, always we. 2. People see you how you see yourself 3. Appreciating, and expressing gratitude for the order of success (each step is accompanied by momentum that helps carry you to the next step) 4. Consistency = Learned Behavior 5. Appreciation for today's athletes that paved the way for Alex Rodriguez & Michael in business...No athlete more than Earvin "Magic" Johnson who called every person sitting in the front row at Lakers games, in order to fully understand how those people could afford those seats - #Brilliant #Initiative + #ambition = #hardworkpaysoff
