When some-one says trust me? What's your first reaction, I know what mine is, Its oh yes well I have heard that one before.
But hear me out: If you are struggling to get your business off the ground, attracting the wrong clients, or finding that your marketing efforts are falling flat, or you've started gaining clients, but the financial returns aren't making it worthwhile.
Trust me, I when I say know what this feels like. I have been exactly where you are on multiple occasions. Building a business from the ground up takes a considerable amount of consistent time and effort, more than you think.
I also know It doesn’t help sometimes that there is a myriad of advice available for improving your business, which when you are already feeling overwhelmed and frustrated, can in itself be overwhelming and frustrating.
With so many options, it can be challenging to know where to start or what investments will truly make a positive impact. I am so glad I have that one person, I trust who has supported me and still does. So, this is my genuine advice.
?Before you invest in anything or anyone to help you build your business, take time to think about what kind of support you need, and then ask does this person or product they have fit my needs.
Equally your clients, will be asking the same questions of you, so in order to grow your business and attract more clients, you have to then turn the table on yourself, and ask yourself:
Am I providing the kind of services my clients need, and will pay for? Anyone can work for free, but I am pretty sure it's not why you became a coach.
?Here are my top three tips of where to start, or how to go from stuck to unstuck.
?Step 1. Know what Success is to You
?What do you want from your coaching business? Have you thought about this and mapped it out? If not, then this is the first thing you should do.
Clarity is everything, it means you can start to map out how you get where you want to go. It also means you can identify any gaps that you need to fill, map out who your crowd is and how you can best serve them, as this will help you design your prices and packages that suit your clients, not what suits you. Your ideal client has to have services tailored to them. It's about putting them in the centre.
Step 2. Set SMART goals.
There is no easy way for me to say this, I just want to be honest. If, you want to grow a business and be successful you have to get your goals sorted!
However, you need to do step 1 first, because then you know what goals to set.
When you set goals, you need to know that they align with where you want your business to be 12 months or 3-5 years from now, then you can create a plan of how to get there.
SMART stands for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time bound, as a goal without a deadline is not really a goal.
Make sure your goals fit this criteria, so you keep moving forward.
Step 3 Use your time wisely and effectively.
Instead of simply keeping busy, focus on being productive by prioritising tasks that directly contribute to your business goals.
Time is your biggest asset, but also your biggest threat, because when not used effectively or with focus then you will end up feeling frustrated and overwhelmed.
?Every month, I take three hours out to focus on my goals and plans for the month ahead, as well as looking at my longer -term goals, because then I can prioritise my tasks.

?Top tip: Break down your goals into smaller, measurable tasks so you can track your progress. Know what you want your life and business to look like— having a clear picture in your mind is powerful. This will help you stay focused and motivated.
?Here are some time saving tips. ?
For your social media posts, choose a theme for the month, and then you can focus your efforts on that theme.
Write a blog for that theme, and then you can dissect it, and use it across all your platforms for that month.
Cross time out for a few hours at the beginning of the month to look at your priorities, and then block these out on your calendar.

One last thought, we all know CPD (continual personal development) is important as a coach, but its also important for growing your business. The coaches that are being successful, are creating a pathway to get the skills to grow their business organically, so the foundations are strong. Then from there you can grow so much quicker and faster.
If you have any questions DM me and arrange for a free (no pushy sales) call to discuss how I can help you. I have over 30 years of business experience to bring to the table, and am developing a successful coaching business from the ground up, let me help you do the same.
