Three simple questions to set yourself up for success
How has the New Year started for you?
Whether you’re off to a roaring start, feeling underwhelmed, or somewhere in between, this is a natural time to plan for the year ahead.
There’s a super simple exercise I do to set myself up for success without spending lots of time or spinning my wheels. It’s a set of three simple prompts.
See if this exercise can help set you up for success this year too.
1. Pick your theme for the year?
I love anything new and shiny, so I tend to say “yes” to too many things and move on too quickly once they’re established. This isn’t helpful when you’re building something substantial and it makes life hard for your team.
So, my theme this year is “improving”. This means taking what exists and making it better, stronger and more valuable.
Improving myself. Improving my relationships. Improving my work to make a greater contribution to the world.
2. Identify your three big wins?
This is a more energizing way of asking yourself, “What are my three big goals for the year?”.
