Three Siblings
Gungun, then Babu and Gudiya, they are three with lots of imagination, hope in their life, they wanted to go to School but there Father Shree Kalu Ram is a daily wager person he cant afford the money for the School fee, It was my last holidays when i went to a village called Kalyanipura, situated in Ajmer i took some photographs of the habitat of Villagers then i saw three children following me, when i turned to them they smile and ran away far from me, it happens many time until i call them, the boy came near me then i asked him, “what is your name” , “(Tumhara naam kya hai)”, and he said “i am Babu” (Mera naam Babu hai)”, then i asked him about the others two and he replied the smallest one is his sister “Gungun” and the elder one is also his sister “Gudiya”. Then i asked them about their classes and the name of their School, they simply smile at me and Gudiya told me that they did not go to School, I am surprised to know that and i asked her why.!!. “She said our Father won’t allow us to go to School”, (“Papa School nahi jane dete”). I am shocked at that moment and thinking the retro type father who didn’t allow their children to studied in School, Then i asked Gudiya because she is the elder one so she knows well about their family, i asked what your Father do, she repleid that he is “Mistri” a common house constructor who builds a house, carry bricks on their shoulders, mix the cement with soil and water, That was the first time when i start thinking about the children like Gungun, Babu and Gudiya. There is no mistake of their Father to compelled them not to go to School because he also never saw a School, maybe he helped to build a School but he doesn’t know what is happening inside it, he is worried about the next day whether he finds a work or not, whether he was able to arrange a meal for his family or not his world ends with this two respoinsiblity, maybe that is why he was unaware of the imporatnce of education, and the programs run by the Government to mandatory the secondary education for each and every child at free of cost, then i decided to survey their home maybe i should helped them, when i went their home, the Father of these children was not at home the mother and mother in law “Sasu maa” was at home when they both saw me they veiled them with their “ghunghat” a practice of covering the faces from unknown person, I sad “Namaste” to them and they repleid “Ram- Ram”, then i asked mother why they were not allowed their children to studied at School, they simply sad “we are poor people no one knows us, what we acheive through studies they have to do hardworking or labouring in future also”,(“Hum to gareeb admi hai koi bhi to hume nahi jante, padh likhkar kya karnge akhir me paisa kamane ke liye to mehnat mazdoori hai karni hai”), then i realised the deep retro thinking sbout education in the villagers, then i told them that is not true educational is very important for every children and the children like them, Government give them Education at free of cost, and give the scholarship also for further studies of a poor child, the mother said “i will talk to my husband about this if he allows them to go to School then only they will go otherwise they have to live here, In few years Babu will help his father in labour, and Gudiya and Gungun will be married at in few years, there is no need of education in the liviness”,(“Mai inke Papa se pochungi agar vo ha karte hai tabhi ye School jaynge, nahi to nahi aur kuch saalo me Babu bi Mazdoori karne lagega, Gungun aur Gudiya ki shadi ho jayegi, aur padhai kaha kam ayegi jeevan me”), I smile very deeply and turns towards the children and sad to them “God bless you”, and from that day this incident motivates me to do something for the children like them.
