Three quick formats to consider which will make your content stand out
In a crowded marketplace you need to make sure your content stands out. It’s not enough just to know what topics concern your customers right now, you need to be able to give a fresh perspective and deliver true value which will make a difference to their business.
If your industry (as most do) has at least one good quality industry magazine or market-leading blog, then delivering straightforward news or facts to a smaller audience in a less timely way will just get lost in the noise. It’s important that you identify the sweet spot between what your customers need and what you have a unique ability to deliver.
Try these quick ideas for credible and unique content :
- If you have a long history of expertise your sector, consider producing a timeline on a particular topic, both explaining how the subject has evolved and demonstrating your own experience in the area.
- Choose your top 5 or top 10 partners, customers or suppliers based on actions or performance in 2020. Explain why each one was chosen and use the list as a starting point for discussion.
- Use your touchpoints with customers to develop quantitive data on a single (or very limited number of) data points. Ask everyone you speak to a simple yes/no question or up to three simple questions on a hot topic and use the results to produce an attention-grabbing infographic.
