1. What does being climate-positive mean for a business?
“Put simply, to give more than you take. Climate-positive companies use their full resources, scale, and influence to build a just and regenerative future. In doing so, they create positive returns for all stakeholders, including future generations and the planet itself.”
2. Why is collaboration crucial in the fight against climate change??
“Because it’s the secret weapon in our climate action toolbox! No single entity can achieve a net-zero future alone. While siloing and competition between organizations might be, to an extent, inevitable, climate change cuts across both. What we see at LFCA is that when companies come together as a collective, they become more creative and courageous.”
3. How can companies move to a mindset of influence in climate action?
“By incentivizing and educating their suppliers, speaking up for climate policy, and pushing banks and insurance companies to align with the 1.5°C ambition, among others. While much of the debate today focuses on developing better technologies, we believe a crucial breakthrough might lie in companies mastering the art and science of persuasion.”
