??First things first
Hello, world! I hope you are doing fine! Are you? We are almost entering march! I'm saying that a lot recently, but it still surprises me how time is flying. Especially when you put clear OKR's for the quarter and year - are you on track? If not, it is still time to go plan your individual or company objectives, isn't it? Maybe this could help. Ah and maybe you've noticed we are testing a new header image, I hope you liked it :)
Let's go over some benefits statistics today:
Forbes Advisor found that 40% of employers say workers leave their job to find a role that offers better?employer benefits!
What do people want? Here are the top 5 benefits employees want from employers:
Interesting to see that mental health assistance now appears in the top 5. Is your company offering something in this field?
And check what people want as fringe benefits for remote work:
Also nice to see, why people are leaving their jobs:
Showing us that the benefits are really making a difference here, so quite important to revise the strategy at home.
And to finish with graphics for today, a curious one:
I assumed that gen z would be the ones seeking a 4-day work week, didn't you? It seems, no! Maybe people between 42-76 are seeking more free time with families, maybe they are keen to have a side gig in their free time, or just changing their vision about their relationship with work? I bet this is changing a lot in the next 5 years.
Well, this is it for today. I'll be back with a new edition and some good and exciting news, soon, I hope!

???Three Questions - Featuring? Kyle Gatlin - U.S Leaders
0. Could?you?share a short bio? (just a small paragraph about?you!)
A sourcing-first recruiter who enjoys working in collaborative environments. I'm comfortable being the only/first Recruiting hire or joining a robust team. I have recruited for many roles from IC to VP level, including in South America and EMEA.
1. Kyle, I have the impression that the US set's the trends, and most of the innovation when it comes to new hr/talent tools. Would you share with other recruiters, some of the tools you think it could make their life easier and more automated?
Personally, I am obsessed?with?Calendly , which has its?HQ in my city of Atlanta, they are doing amazing things for scheduling meetings automatically. Being in start-ups, I rarely have a coordinator, so I am required to do my own scheduling and could not live without Calendly, which integrates with most ATS systems and LinkedIn. Another tool, Seekout, lets you set up automated campaigns for outreach and a great tool if you have really high-volume sourcing needs. There are many other comparables, but as a serial start-up recruiter, I am used to running very lean on tools.?

2. You are between Lisbon and Atlanta. What could you say are the biggest differences in regard to work culture, management style, remote and well-being policies, and bureaucracy (or any other), between the US and Europe?
There are less differences in work culture than people think. At a start-up, everyone works hard for the greater benefit of the team whether in the US or the EU. We've been able to integrate the team well and take the best parts of each culture to create a really positive working environment. Our HQ is in the EU, so as a US-based recruiter, I often operate more closely with the EU hours in order to speak with candidates, hiring managers, and co-workers.?
3. What tips would give a recruiter based in Europe, when it comes to finding a remote recruitment job in the US? Is that common? Easy? Hard?
I'd say it's highly unlikely. Hiring in the US is complicated. There are 50 different states and many different rules and laws that you need to comply with to mitigate risk and follow employment laws. Most US companies will prefer to hire in the US for this reason. I?think sourcing is a universal language and as a recruiter or company, if I can hire anywhere in the world, I'd hire the best sourcing talent wherever they sit, whether that be in the US, EU, Asia, etc.?
