THREE POWERFUL STRATEGIES THAT MADE ME A CHAMPION ON STAGE AND IN LIFE AND THEY CAN DO THE SAME FOR YOU

THREE POWERFUL STRATEGIES THAT MADE ME A CHAMPION ON STAGE AND IN LIFE AND THEY CAN DO THE SAME FOR YOU

I was standing in line and could see the 5 women in front of me.

We all had our show suits on, basically blinged-out bikini’s. I had just got a touch up to my spray tan and reapplied my lipstick.

We were all waiting behind the curtain getting ready to walk onto the stage. I was super nervous and praying that I didn’t slip in my clear platform heels.

Now I know what you are thinking, no this was not my first stripper show, but it was my first figure level bodybuilding competition. Yes, in my previous life I was a figure competitor and obsessed with fitness.

People often ask me, “Tiffiny what made you get into those types of body competitions”. Let’s face it, spending countless hours in the gym, being super meticulous about your food, spray tans, not drinking water and spending a good deal of money does not sound super fun.

My response was that in the beginning, I did it as a personal challenge to see if I could push myself to my limits. However, after the first show, it became an addiction. I loved being on stage, the crowd, traveling, meeting people from all over the country, and yes being fit year-round was a nice perk.

The biggest joy, for me, was when I started winning my shows, meaning I starting coming in first place. That’s when I realized all my hard work and effort was paying off. I had become a champion.

One thing that I learned about becoming a champion was that it was not just important to win on stage, it was important to win in life. For me winning on stage and winning in life was about truly working to build my confidence.

Building confidence is truly the key to successfully knocking out your goals, feeling good about yourself, and ultimately getting everything you desire in life. In order for me to truly build my confidence to become a champion, I incorporated 3 key powerful strategies.

One thing that I learned about becoming a champion was that it was not just important to win on stage, it was important to win in life.”

They were the strategies that helped push me past my fears, build an amazing body, and continue to do more competitions. These are the same methods that I use today to hit my goals in business, finance, relationships, and my overall life.

See the below video I did on my YouTube channel about this as well:

The strategies that I used were:

  1. Belief – when I was thinking about competing, my number one goal, was just to get on stage. In order to achieve my goal, I had to remind myself of my abilities and all the other achievements that I had made in my life, all the other goals that I had accomplished, all the other fears that I had moved past. Experiences such as finishing college, buying a home, moving to a new city, making friends, losing 40lbs; if I could do those things, then I could compete. I still do this today when I get nervous about a major life decision, I build up my belief that I can do it and I use my past experiences to prove to myself that it’s possible.
  2. Visualization – part of creating a dream, is to see yourself accomplishing the dream. I had to start visualizing myself on stage, winning my competitions. Visualization is so important because it tells your mind that this is your ultimate desire. I use visualization for everything that I desire, from a new car to getting a free cup of coffee. Visualization is super easy, just sit in a quiet place, close your eyes and imagine yourself from a 1st person perspective that you are getting your desired goal. When I say the first person, I mean you want to see the scene from your eyes, versus seeing it as a movie on a screen. Again this is reinforcing to your mind that this is actually happening for you so it helps support your belief, and works to start attracting the action steps you need to take to reach your goal.
  3. Practice/Preparation – when I started getting ready for my competition, I had a fairly strict schedule. I trained 3 days a week in the gym, I preplanned all my meals for the week, and I had a posing coach to teach me how to walk on stage and I practiced several times a week. Practice and preparations are so important to honing your skills and abilities to achieve your goal. Whether its athletics, business development, or interpersonal communication. I love the quote that says, “practice does not make perfect, it makes permanent”. When you practice, you take action and repetitive action becomes a habit and it makes you feel more confident.

These 3 magical strategies helped me become a champion on stage and I still use them in my personal and business life.

Now here is the bonus, once you start this routine and start seeing the results, you will build momentum and the momentum will motivate you to do even more! Trust me, these strategies changed my life and I know they can change yours.
