Three Nuclear Weapons per Second

Currently the earth's difference between energy coming in from the sun and energy leaving from radiation is about 0.6 watts per square meter which doesn't sound like a lot until you consider how many square meters the earth has. If you integrate 0.6 watts per square meter over the surface area of the earth it totals the energy equivalent of over three World War II Nuclear Weapons added to our atmosphere every single second yet we and our leaders continue to procrastinate, obfuscate, deny and choose political expediency over our grandchildren's future.

“Men's courses will foreshadow certain ends, to which, if persevered in, they must lead," said Scrooge. "But if the courses be departed from, the ends will change.”

Charles Dickens, A Christmas Carol
